Hi! Jeff here,

In May 2024, I collapsed with a saddle pulmonary embolism. I was rushed to the hospital for surgery and later found that a very small percentage of people survive what I had. The surgeon did an extraordinary job and saved my life by removing all the blood clots that filled my lungs. Other than taking blood thinners, I now feel fine and live a healthy life. It made me examine my life.

I realized that, instead of working for others, I needed to stop wasting time a build the online ESL business that has been my dream for several years.

I first dreamed of this right before COVID, but I got online jobs that paid well. That was good but it didn't leave me time to pursue the dream of working with English Learners in my own business.

I needed to stop wasting time and do what I was supposed to do.

And also to do it the right way. The way to get the best results for students. I have learned what works best in 25 years of teaching and coaching English learners.

MEET the founder

Hey, Jeff here! 👋

Here's how I got here...

I was a public speaker for about 15 years before falling in love with teaching English as a Second Language. I had taught ESL as a volunteer for a pastor who was starting Spanish language church in Nashville, TN.

Not long afterward, I enrolled in college and got a master's degree in teaching ELLs. Then I taught in the school system for over 13 years. Since semi-retiring a few years ago, I have taught in classrooms and online to all ages of students, from 5 years to 75 years old.

My wife, Rebecca, who is still teaching in school, joins me part-time now but on a bigger scale after she retires in a couple of years. She fell in love with teaching ELLs also and went back to get her ESL teachers masters.

We really enjoy working with ELLs, whether it be as coach, teacher, or advocate.
